Show and Tell!

Today I have lots to share!  First I have Quick Quotes Bonus Projects from March and April!  Beautiful stuff!  (If I do say so myself!  Hee hee!)  and then I am also going to share some of the projects we made up in Farmington at our Stamp Workshop!  We had a ball!  (I'll share more later in the post!)

Quick Quotes Club Q Bonus Projects!

The March Kits featured brand new paper from Quick Quotes called Damsel in Distress.  It contained great paper as well of a bunch of really terrific quotes from Patsy, love 'em!  I started with the canvas and decided to focus on one of my favorite quotes...

It will hold a large photo in the circle and three smaller hanging from the bottom.   A close-up shot shows a bit of detail, the awesome butterflies, and the paper flowers (I just contoured the petals and added a button) and the title, which I embossed in black and then dusted with pearl ex powder to highlight the color of paper I added)

Next I needed a new notebook to help keep my head straight!  So I grabbed one and started decorating!  I love how it came out so much, I used as inspiration for my Stamp Workshop!  I love carrying something that looks good with all my to do lists hidden!

The April kits featured the brand new paper French Quarter.  Lovely to say the least!  I jumped right in and made this great key hanger!

Since I was on the organizational blitz, I made a letter holder, so I would have somewhere cute to put my incoming urgent bills (somehow a cute place makes them easier to tolerate!)  I painted the holder first, then decorated with the beautiful patterns included in the kits!

I also needed a gift this month for a friend having a birthday, so I put my thinking cap on and found this little wood purse that looked like it had potential!

I plan to make a set of cards to hide inside to complete the gift!  I think she'll love it!

Farmington Fun!  I headed up north to teach a Stamping Workshop for my favorite gals at Heart to Heart and since my workshop was on Sat, I headed up Friday and was lucky enough to take Elaine's Basic Grey Layout Class!  I can't remember the last time I got to take a class and I really enjoyed it!  Plus we made some awesome pages!  The Basic Grey kit came with four one page layouts and using a little extra paper, and the extra goodies that came with the kit, Elaine created terrific second pages for each!  How cool is that!  Check these out!

Aren't they great!  I love them!!

Then on Saturday, we had our Stamping Workshop!
I love teaching at Heart to Heart!  The ladies are all so great!  The store is one of my favorites, ever!  Seriously, if you have not been up there, it is worth the trip!  They carry a super selection of stuff you don't see other places!  And since you're going up to check it out, try to come the weekend of May 7th for National Scrapbook Day!  We always have a really fabulous time!  (And I will be there teaching a project too!)  Just tell I sent you!  (hee hee!)  You are also invited to come up to Farmington for a Quick Quotes Mini Reserve!  It is being held June 3rd and 4th and Patsy Gaut, the owner of Quick Quotes!  She is one extremely talented lady!  Not to mention being so nice and approachable!  Now is your chance to spend some up close and personal time with a mover and shaker in the industry!  Plus you will make some awesome projects!  You will not leave disappointed!  I will also be there doing make and takes for Quick Quotes!  Speaking of make and takes, I will also be at CKC in Mesa next week!  Come and visit us in the Quick Quotes Booth!  I will be teaching make and takes and can hardly wait!!  Come say hello!

Whew!  Tired yet?  I still want to share a few shots of the projects we did at the stamping workshop!  The object of the workshop was to use our stamps in easy quick new ways, that also said WOW!  I think we accomplished that!  Take a peek!

I have had some requests for this workshop down here in ABQ, so I will keep you posted when I set a date!

Thank you so much for joining me!  I appreciate you!
p.s.  I am trying to learn at least one new thing each time I post, wish me luck!  I tried a signature, not my favorite, but I will keep trying!
