November Quick Quotes Club Q Bonus Projects!

yes, I know it is already December!  Time just got away from me!  I had a great time with the November Club Q!  I love the colors and all the great sayings and poems!  The papers also made me really feel like it should have texture too, so you will notice on two of my projects I added liquid glass (this is called glassy accents and diamond glaze too!) as well as a bit of Stickles glitter glue, because what project doesn't need a little sparkle?!!

Ok, on with the show (and tell...snicker snicker)!

This first project is a three part canvas.  The canvas' are 4x12, although you can hardly see them!  My daughter wanted something for Christmas that held lots of photos of her honey and would hang on the wall, so I thought this paper and the sayings would be perfect!

Next I made a one page layout for a wall hanging.  This paper is so beautiful, I wanted to accent it, so I thought I would add liquid glass and Stickles.  I love how it came out!  I hope the picture captures it.  I will try to take one of this one or the next to show the details!  One of my favorite things is to  make general pages, that can fit the ticket for a variety of photos.  I love this, "love that face"!  I can't wait to add photos!  I think it will be perfect for my neice!  She has one princess and twin boys!

I used the pre-cut snowflakes to make this beautiful flower!  I love how it turned out!

Next I made a mini tag album....so fun!!!

Can't wait to fill this baby with mini photos!!

This last project was inspired by one of the quotes in Club Q, "So Blessed".  It was so beautiful, I immediately thought of a special wall hanging, maybe for a wedding or a new baby.  I also stepped up the  dimension on it by using the leftover from the frame in the kit (no waste!)  and popped it up to give just a little more wow factor!

I just love the 3-d effect!

I hope your holiday season is off to a great start!  It will be over before we know it!!  Enjoy it and make a few memories along the way!!

Merry Christmas!

October Club Q Quick Quotes Bonus Ideas!

I know it is already the first part of November! The holidays are coming so fast!  WHEW!   My Bonus Projects have been up at Quick Quotes Gallery and Two Peas Gallery (both under my name!)  but it has taken me a few days for things to settle enough to get them to my blog!  Sorry for the delay!  With a sick munchkin at home and the Grand Opening last weekend of The Crop Around the Corner, my friend Tiffany Lovells' fab new store in Los Alamos, life has been crazy!  If you get a chance, check out The Crop Around the Corner!  It is a great new store with a totally new and creative theme, she is a scrapbook store that also carries a huge variety of local artists handmade gifts.  So she has a terrific store full of scrap supplies and unique and one of a kind gifts!  Seriously worth the short trip!  We will also be having scrap classes and workshops up there!  Our first is a 25 cards/tags workshop for $25, Saturday, the 27th of Nov.  If you are intersted, let Tiffany know right away, lots of folks signed up at her successful Grand Opening!  Did I mention Kelli (my best pal) and Allie (my teenager) went up and had a blast!  I did make and takes all weekend and met some really nice folks!  Ok, enough rambling...on to the CREATIONS!!

I had a ball creating with the Club Q from October!  I was able to sit right down and the creative juices just jumped right out!  I made some gifts that I know will be a great hit!  I will show you those in a second, but first, I want to show my favorite creation....Allie got her senior pictures taken and I picked a few to play with, hope you enjoy it!

This is such a pivital time in a girls life, I know the importance of the decisions she will make in the next year or so, I am not sure she has a clue.  I guess that's what being a parent is really all about.  It has just all gone so fast!    So I also decided to make a wall hanging for my Mom for Christmas, using some of the senior photos, the canvas wall hanging is done, but no photos yet!

this is the entire piece,  I stamped on the canvas with swirls to match the paper and it looks GREAT!  Here are more detailed shots:

My next effort was a teacher gift, consisting of a card holder and six cards with envelopes:

I love to do these for gifts,  This one includes four birthday and two thank you cards...All wrapped in a pretty little bag with a tag and a big ribbon!

Next I made a gift for Tiffany, for her grand opening, just allittle something to carry her paperwork back and forth!

I don't know if you can see it, but I added liquid laquer and lots of stickles too!  I love these laminated bags!

Did I mention how much I LOVE the Club Q from Quick Quotes?  I really do!  Designing with the Club Q goodies, (that are like a present each month when they land on my door!~) is not only fun, but the papers and vellum poems and other quality goodies that are included are all ART, waiting to happen!

Thanks so much for joining me and making it clear to the bottom!  I appreciate ya!

This month, my goal is to get another post on, before I post my Bonus Projects again!  Wish me luck!

Jean

P.s. I would like to send out a quick Thanks to Quick Quotes for graciously providing the supplies and the opportunity to design!  I Love it!

Well, the year is flying by! September Quick Quotes Club Q Bonus Ideas!

September is flying by, or should I say falling....tee hee!  Thanks so much for hanging in there with me!  I truely appreciate it!  (You know who you are!)  September Quick Quotes Club Q is a beautiful color combination of all of the gorgeous tones you see in nature, I hope you enjoy the Bonus Projects I was able to create using these lovely Club Q supplies!

The first project that I made was a swag that said "Wishes" and has an envelope attached as well, so the wishes can be gathered and stored there!

I love how it came out!  Here are the letters, close up!

I put some sparkle on the title, making it really jump!

I made a paper rose for the top of the e.  It came out beautiful in this paper!  I will be putting up a tutorial on these beauties soon!

 Along with the great embelishments

that came with the Club Q this month, I added a couple of metal pieces that were sitting on my desk!  Who can resist wings?

I absolutely love how this came out!  I think I am going to hang it in my scrap room, if my daughter doesn't snatch it up first!

Next I made a set of scrap pages, and I will post those tomorrow!

Then I found this great canister and decided it should be altered!  Love it!

I adhered the paper with modge podge, so it has a great texture to it too!  I love how you can give something that extra texture that you don't notice right away, but it really adds to the whole look!

Next I grabbed those great envelopes I had left and made them into a card holder, and used my scraps to build 10 cards (I did add card bases).  Here's a few pics of them!

I seem to only be able to get four to load tonight, I hate to admit when the computer gets the best of me, (frown-y face), but I will tackle it again this weekend and post the rest!

I will admit something I was pretty sure I wasn't going to share.....I did some homework on the net about blogs, and learned some cool tips, so I sat down the other day to WOW you.  Well.....as you can see, not much has changed...yet!  But I have to admit I tried all kinds of cool stuff....bummer was that I really had everything completely screwed up and wasn't sure I was going to even be able to get it back!  Such a drag when you have great expectations and high hopes and confidence, but turns out...no clue!

Hopefully I will try again and be able to add something......anything.....tee hee....

Thanks again for stoping by!

August Club Q Bonus Project Ideas are here!

Hello again!  I'm back with Quick Quotes Club Q Bonus Project Ideas for August!

I had a great time peeking thru my box and immediately jumped in!  So I'll get right to the good stuff!

HANG IN THERE JOURNAL

One of my favorite things to do is combine stamping with my papercrafting.  When I saw the trees in this months kit, these little guys jumped right out at me!  I covered a composition book, used one of my trees, ribbon and butterfly, then added my little guys and then covered them with liquid glass to make them glossy!

I used more trees and houses in my layout HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS

I love layouts like this, with a general title, because I can use favorite photos from different times and situations all on one layout!

This next layout is like that too!  It is called HOME TWEET HOME

I LOVE this patterned paper from the Club Q kit!  The colors are so beautiful and it was pre-cut into butterflies and other goodies.  I think I used every scrap of it!  I even used the thin strips that were outside the squares to make the flower!

I also used stickles glitter!  Who doesn't love butterflies, birds and glitter!?!  It is so fresh and summer-y (is that a word?)   In the next couple of days I will be posting directions on how to make this flower!

                                                              WHAT A RIDE JOURNAL

Journals are so fun to make!  I am trying to get more organized, by making lists, so now I have tons of lists!  I love this one, it was easy to make, using one of the chipboard book pages and several pages of paper inside.  I inked the cover using sponges in green and blue, then added a little brown too.  It has a very hippy, earthy look.  Plus I added just a bit of Smooch ink to give it a little sparkle!  The title quote is so terrific, but it wouldn't fit perfectly, so I had to cut it and I put liquid glass on the punchline to make it POP!  A little ribbon and wa-la!  It would make a great gift!

The minute I saw this title in my kit, I knew just what I wanted to do with it!  I added pink and finished the quote!

THIS IS MY STORY AND I'M STICKIN' TO IT

I just love how this turned out!  The white flower on the title block gave me the idea to add white embossed flowers randomly about the layout.  I especially love the way the rest of the title came out!

Once again I had a great time with my Club Q kit!   I hope you liked my creations and they gave  you a few ideas, a little instantMojo!

Thanks for joining me!

Me again! With QUick Quotes Club Q Bonus Project Ideas

Hi! Bet you were wondering if I was going to show up again! Well, I guess I've jumped in, so I'm going to try to do my best to keep my head above water! Please be patient with my floundering and splashing around! I don't plan to be one of the busy bloggers who shares all aspects of their life, I just plan to share the creative and fun parts!

So, that being said, let's get started!

I was lucky enough to be asked, by Quick Quotes, to join three talented ladies in an exciting adventure! We are taking the supplies from the current Club Q and see what other projects we can come up with! The options are endless and I have had such a great time!

I will post some of them here, and if you would like to see details, you can find more photos on the Quick Quotes gallery, http://www.shopquickquotes.com/ (under Jean Buhl). Someday, soon, I hope to be able to learn to put a direct link in here for you!

I would love to hear what you think!

And Thanks alot for checking in, I hope to see you again soon!

Jean (aka instant Mojo)

Ok, so I am going to try really hard to include the photos in this post!  gOOD gRIEF!

this card and two others go iside the purse for a nice gift, already wrapped!
One of my best buds inspired this page, her hubby just retired from the Navy and she needed somewher special to put the retirement party pics!
One of my favorite things to do is add hidden tags so that you can include lots of photos and journaling to tell the story details!  This layout will hold six photos and the four tags can hold additional photos and journaling.

One of my favorite things about Quick Quotes is their use of canvas!  This month, our Club Q kit include small canvas pieces.  I made two six by six cards (you can see the other on QQ site) and on this one I stmped a cute image from Stampin' Up that seemed to fit perfectly!  Then I added chalk for that soft look.  I have to admit...love it!
I made this wall hanging with my teenage daughter in mind.  You can see photos of each panel on QQ site.  I can't wait to get pictures on it!

Well, that's it for here, like I mentioned before, more details and all the photos are on the QQ site.

Thanks again for stopping, and hanging out this long!!
